I guess no one is surprised any more when we find out our privacy has been violated yet again. It comes from a long line of our faith in a vendor being broken, time and again. This time it's Apple. It turns out iOS 4, the release we were all anxiously awaiting for our iPhones and 3G iPads is actually tracking our whereabouts. Remember George Orwell's 1984? Only differences are 1) this is reality not fiction, and 2) it's hidden by our devices, not by a more obvious video camera.
Your whereabouts for the past 10 months have been recorded by Apple in a protected file on your 3G-enabled iDevice. You can use the application mentioned on the link below to map your own whereabouts if you don't believe it. Just think, 115 million users are being tracked. Why? As of this writing, Apple has yet to explain themselves. But the proof is there, you're being watched!
